Adium doesn't delete Yahoo contacts

A friend of mine told me that when he deletes a Yahoo contact in Adium, it comes back when Adium is relaunched. So I tried it and had the same experience.

I quit Adium, launched Yahoo Messenger, found the contact, deleted it in Yahoo, quit Yahoo and launched Adium. The contact was still in my list, with the comment "not on server list".

We're both using 1.4b9, OS 10.5.8.
