I know many people will hate this idea, but why don't you just wait for .8 to release and have the new version of Smooth Operator bundled. That way you can (probably) take your time getting it done, and Tiger will have been released by then as well. We've waited a long time, I know I can wait a few more days.

That was the original plan.

I can't! I have Persistent Impatience Disorder, also known as PID, not to be confused with the control system schema.
Check out my Xtras! Includes AmbientAdium for those of you who own an Ambient Orb.

muaaah, more delay... head starts making uncontrolled movements...
can't wait days long, must bump head into wall must bum head

if this keeps on going I'll start searching for the beta release... (though I have no idea where I should look, I tried the svn and it's not there :-( )

[edit]sorry, I'm selectively dislectic

Adium 0.8 is already at rc1, so I guess they are done adding features?

I believe all the fixes are in for what I need, so that means look for it this weekend.

Keep in mind that they are totally untested, so I would expect that it may not be 0.81 before SO can work exactly how you want unless we both go into a whirlwind of productivity... and it's time to stop working on committing translations and go study for final exams for me :)
The duck still burns.

So I take it the smooth operator that came with Adium .8 (the real deal -also YAY!), is still version 0.5?
This is our decision, to live fast and die young.

Yes, where is this? And does it handle smaller windows better now? Before, some parts of the message would overlap if the window was smaller than a certain size.

Brad, now that Adium is at 0.81 and (hopefully) the fixes are in that allow SO to work how you want can we finally get our hands on it?

Sorry to keep bringing this up but that screenshot you posted on page 2 has us waiting with baited breath for the release.

Hey guys. Things have become really hectic at work and I've been doing 14 hour days most of the week and even working on the weekends. I apologize for the announcing of "Coming This Week" and then things not meeting those expectations. I'll get it out as soon as I can.

All the best,
Brad
