Facebook All Messages at Once

When ever a person signs on who i have previously talked to in the past on facebook all their messages from out last conversation are sent through. only theirs though, not mine. and it will only be from our last conversation. this happens either when they talk to me or sometimes just when they sign on. its not one person in particular its happens with all my contacts on facebook.

is anyone else having this problem? is there a quick fix?

im running 1.4b9 on snow leopard. any help would be greatly appreciated.

This has been happening to me as well.

I have my chat logs stored using Drop Box and I assumed this was causing the issue.

You aren't by chance doing that as well are you?

no i have my chat logs in the normal library location. also not all of the logs are showing up in the chat transcript viewer but i think alot of ppl are having that same issue.

I know I'm replying in the Adium Beta forum, but I've got the same issue on a non-beta version (1.3.6), running under Leopard.

It doesn't just seem to be when someone signs on, either. None of my contacts are signed on at the moment, but I've just had all the received messages from a conversation last night arrive, out of the blue.

I'm seeing a similar problem, using 1.4b12. A specific meta-contact resends me all Facebook messages which she wrote the last hour, whenever I open a chat-window too her. If I open a window on the Facebook site, the window opens in Adium and resends all messages. This also triggers my auto-response, whenever i'm away.

My debuglog (.txt) tells me that something is out of sync. And it also looks like it is only the messages from the exact last 60 mins.

Edit: Happens with all my Facebook meta accounts.

I've had the same with both the released versions and betas (only been on betas for the last week or so). Have only just discovered the forum, so don't have version details to hand, sorry, but it's only been happening for the past couple of months, so I assumed it was a Facebook thing not an Adium thing.
