We've set the Growl forums as read only. For some time now these forums would get neglected for a while, and then looked at for a while, then neglected. This is different than how our google group works, in that it gets looked at all the time.
The google group also happens to look something like a forum. If you prefer to post to it via the web only, and not via email, you can do that.
The team decided that it was in our best interest in supporting the product to only provide support going forward at google groups, and not at google groups AND the cocoaforge forums.
Here is the main discussions list: http://groups.google.com/group/growldiscuss/
There are all sorts of lists though, if you look here: http://code.google.com/p/growl/ you will see 5 groups listed. So for instance if you have a new application that you added Growl support to, you could post to the New Apps page. If you are a developer, you would post to the Developers page.
The forums here are full of good information though, so we left it as read only.
The only real downside is that you folks will need to start some of these threads over on the mailing list. Creating a google account isn't so bad. One thing people miss is that their google account doesn't need to be an @gmail or @googlemail account. Be sure to pay attention to that, because if you want it to go to your normal email if you like email posting rather than web posting, you can do that.
I hope everyone understands, and we can work through this change quickly.
The Growl forums have moved to Google Groups, this forum is read only.
