Not Able to Receive Offline messages with AIM (Adium 1.3.8)

Post by spring46 »

I am not able to receive any messages that were sent to me offline through Adium. If I log on thru meebo or aim on a windows computer, I receive all the previous offline messages sent to me. Also, I've been told that when a message is sent to me and I'm offline, the message that says "this person is offline and will receive your message once they sign on" doesn't appear, so all my contacts think I am just invisible.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there any way to fix it?

Yeah, I'm having the exact same problem. It's been happening ever since the latest version.

Didnt know a topic like this already existed so i guess i can delete the one i made.

What do i do if I'm on OS 10.4.11 and thus cant support 1.4 of adium?

downgrade back to 1.3.7 or is there another 1.3.x version coming?

EDIT: I downgraded to 1.3.7 for now....

I know it sucks but it looks like no current developer is willing to release another 1.3.x version unless for security reasons. But I'll see whether I can convince anyone.
