Possible to be offline to CERTAIN groups and not OTHERS??

Post by condeepadunov »

Hey guys,

I use Adium for AIM and I have various groups such as "classmates," "friends," "coworkers," etc. Is it possible to be offline to the "coworkers" group while simultaneously online for every other? or vice versa? Thanks!

As a work around you could temporarily block them i would assume yet that would prevent offline messages. If they happen to send important messages offline or you forget to unblock them, then that's not a good idea. Other method would be just to be invisible(appear offline) to everyone and just simply tell the people your talking to that your doing that.

Nope, even on AIM you can only be invisible with an entire screen name, not just a group of people within that screen name. If it's really that important, you may want to consider having two screen names.
