A little time ago I got a nice idea for something. That idea includes getting the current contact status. So I started making my first apple script ever and did what I wanted (apple script is not hard to learn if you know any of the "normal" programming languages). But there is a problem. I need to do something based on the current status of one of my contacts. The problem is that I don't know how to check if the contact is oflline or online. I dont know how to use the contact status property. I had no trouble with other properties but I don't know how to use this one. So can anyone tell me how to check if a specific user is online or not?

I figured that out. The problem now is how to call my script when there no more unread messages in the chat. So I need constant monitoring of the Adium. I know that I can do that with repaet with no condition but I don't know if there is a better way. At first I thought of automaticaly calling the script whn the user changes status and when I get a new message. But I must also know when there are new unread messages and I must hide the notification when there are no more new messages.
