Adium never goes idle...

Hi, i am a relatively new user, and I'm having a problem.

I've configured Adium to show my status as idle after 5 minutes, and Away after ten. However, my status never changes! I always appear as Avaliable / Online, even when I leave the keyboard for hours.

Any help?

Away and idle are not the same thing.

You need the option below the 'Let others know that im idle' option. Dont know what it is called in english..

Yes, I'm using that option. Now I realize that an app I use called Caffeine (http://www.lightheadsw.com/caffeine/), prevents Adium to detect idle times.

It is possible to avoid that in any future version? The strange thing is that when I was using Microsoft Messenger app, Caffeine hadn't affected it in that way.

I would contact the developer behind Caffeine and explain the problem. I would assume the problem is on their end?

There's no possibility of addressing it since Adium uses the same inactivity timer that Caffeine resets.
