Can't block Yahoo! spammers

Every time I log in into Yahoo! through Adium, I'm asked to approve or deny the same spammer's request to add me to their buddy list. I deny it each time, but it pops up again the very next time I log in.

This happened before, a few weeks ago. I finally had to install Yahoo! Messenger's client to make the denial stick.

Why can't Adium handle this?

I am having the same problem, and it's getting worse as the # of spammers is growing. Any work around or fix for this?
