Unable to connect to AIM

I have been running 1.3.1 for a long time, and i have been connecting to my AIM account fine until recently. now it just trying to connect forever.

i am using snow leopard.

anyone has the same issue lately??

Please download the newest of Adium 1.3.10 and see if that works for you.

I am also having this problem. I can connect to AIM just fine from the same machine with iChat. But Adium will just spin endlessly trying to connect. I have no idea what changed to make this start happening.

edit: I should add that I've completely removed Adium and tried re-installing the latest version, to no avail.

I'm also experiencing the same issue with trying to connect AIM through Adium (1.3.10). For a few weeks now (possibly even longer), AIM has been unable to connect; under the "preferences - accounts" setting for Adium, it simply states that "Error: connection refused" and that it will try to reconnect. Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

I found a temporary solution to the AIM problem in another thread around here; someone suggested re-logging into that account under a different name, then logging back in as yourself, and it seemed to ensure the connection.

That worked, but I had to use it every time, and this last time, my buddy could IM me, but when I tried to reply it said he was offline, and he said he could see me typing, but it never appeared.

I'm sure this makes no sense, but suffice to say, I can't seem to use AIM via Adium! Help!

ive never had this issue before. I used to just use 1.3.7 since it was the last 1.3.* version that worked for AIM offline messages. Sometimes when i have trouble logging into an account i just shut down adium and reopen it and log into another account before the one im trying to get into.
