Exclude a certain group from events

Post by MacAddict4Life »

So I decided to add Facebook messaging in Adium. But I don't use it terribly actively. I have my buddy list set to speak "[Alias name] has signed on." when buddies sign on. However with Facebook messaging working, this is problematic. I don't want it to read to me when FB friends sign on. Is there any way to accomplish this? Fire used to use per contact group settings, which I loved.

I'm having a related problem with my SMS group, which is just saving phone numbers as screen names on AIM. When I first sign on, Adium speaks them as though they had just signed on. If I could also disable this group from speaking at sign on altogether, that would be great.

Thanks!

Does the lack of responses mean this is impossible?

This is not possible until 1.5. You could add an event into the group's "sign on" event to do something inconspicuous, 1.5 adds a "do nothing" event to replicate this functionality.

How do I set events on a per-group basis?

1.5 is not in beta yet, right?

"Get info" with a group selected.

Right, it's pretty unstable currently.
