Chat transcript history

How long does Adium keep the messages in the transcript viewer? Can we edit the amount of time Adium keeps them, whether it be a set number of days/permanently?

Ive never seen an option like that on adium and i wouldnt want it to exist IMO even because of fear of it going haywire and deleting stuff i dont want it to. You can easily manually delete logs by opening up the transcript view and simply scrolling down the list and highlighting all the ones you want gone and hit delete which will move them to the trash. Adium just moves your logs that have been deleted to the trash so obviously an automatic deletion wouldnt be very useful for limiting space of those logs used. I have over 6,000 logs and its barely a few megabites so i dont see it as a big deal either way.
