Hi all. I'm running Adium 1.4.1 on 10.6.5. I have two monitors, and I have the contact list locked to the far left side of my left monitor. This monitor is also connected to a KVM. This has been working fine since I had a G5 and CRT monitors (so a long time.)
Recently I upgraded to a DVI KVM and the monitor data gets passed through now, whereas with VGA it didn't. This means when I switch screens, OSX automatically knows this and resizes the display to 1024x768. I've tried to find a way to block this but haven't been successful.
When this happens, my contact list moves from my left monitor to my right monitor. Now I would just blame the KVM or the OS, but none of my other apps have this issue. Photoshop and Mail.app for example both keep the windows on the left monitor, on the left monitor, and retain their position when I switch back. So it seems like the contact list in Adium should be able to do the same.
I've looked all over the prefs but can't find any that might be able to help with this. Any idea how to keep this from happening?
