Is there some portuguese version for the Adium?
Can I help translating something? .... thanks all 8)

Sure. Use "Show Package Contents" in the contextual menu for Adium. Inside, navigate to Contents -> Resources and duplicate English.lproj. Rename it Swedish.lproj (or whatever it should be) and edit the files inside.

You should have Developer Tools for this.

Loffi, do you mind using the Brasilian folder name (I supose it's ptBR.lproj) so I can do the Portuguese from Portugal translation ?

if pt and BR are the right codes, that'd be pt_BR.lproj

I started yesterday to localize for portuguese... All the menu bar is already translated and some internal windows. Theres a lot of work to do yet.

Um problema... Eu coloquei pt.lproj e no meu mac foi tudo bem... mas se eu coloco pt_BR.lproj ele nao traduz, nem pt_PT.lproj
entao nao sei como vamos separar isso...
talvez pt e pt_PT send o primeiro o brasileiro

Nas preferências, tens os três "Portugueses" activados ? Ou pelo menos os dois que precisas ?
Eu tenho:
Portuguese (Portugal)
Portuguese
Portuguese (Brasil)

Anyway, usa "pt.lproj" ou "Portuguese.lproj" para a tradução brasileira. O resto do OS está assim, portanto é melhor mantermos o esquema. Eu uso o "pt_PT" para Portugal.

A tradução de Portugal (quer dizer, 50% dela) está em http://www.litux.org/cvs/cvs/Apple.PT/Adium/Contents/ (os pacotes estão em http://www.litux.org/projects/apple_pt/)

Vou actualizar com os ficheiros do 0.81 (no caso de haver alguma alteração) e acabar a tradução asap.

The file is completely translated. It might still require some tweaks and fixes because Portuguese strings are longer than english.

Still on vacation, haven't had a chance to write up an official set of translating instructions.

Just wanted to note that there are other English.lproj folders which need translation.

may have minor typos, typing off the top of my head:

Baseado na localização do Davi e usando a base da versão 0.82, localizei para Portugues Brasileiro, mas quando coloco dentro do Adium ele não reconhece. Embora reconheça a versão do Davi. Que será que está incorreto?

It's done. The .nibs may have to be reviewed due to defferences in string lengths.

Can anyone provide the current status of the portuguese (pt_PT) translation?

I tried obtaining the files mentioned in previous posts but the links are all dead. Also, the current adium source does not have (or I did not find) files for either pt_PT or pt_BR translations.

I am interested in going forward with a pt_PT translation and, if possible, take advantage of existing work.
