As a long time Proteus user and increasingly irritated over it's lack of updates I decided to give Adium a go for a month and see .
I have pretty much configured it up as I like, but I miss two things. It might be that I do not know where to look or it might be missing. If I am looking in the wrong places then please point me in the right directions. And if it is missing then please implement .
1. Do I realy have to dig into File->Set Away Message-> to set my away messagee? Is there no way to get in as a pop-up menu in to toolbar of the contact list?
2. Is there a way to make the inputfield for messages bigger, to fit two or three lines on text?

the only argument i've heard that holds any water is basically just for consistent appearance. not liking the bar jumping/text moving.
the current implementation is the most efficient use of space (in this aspect), but that's not always what people want.
doesn't make much sense to me either.

and hey! i though we weren't supposed to post the beta location/url here. If people seriously want to find the beta, they should just type "beta" and "adium" into google. Shows a little effort/thought on their part.

It's not really a secret, there is sorta a beta forum with sorta 3 billion links to the beta website and with sorta a beta download on it.

Just a FEW billion
I mean, look at the number of people that were on the Mac OS X public beta… a LOT.
