Spotify plugin for Adium?

I've been googling a bit, but can't find a good answer. Is there a plugin or an easy way to get the "itunes-like" now playing-feature to work with Spotify?

Support for Spotify in Adium has been requested: http://trac.adium.im/ticket/11423.

This workaround I have seen suggested:

1. Get a account at last.fm
2. Configure Spotify to scrobble to Last.fm.
3. Get the Xtras script, http://www.adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=x ... ra_id=6507
