I'm runnig a federated Status.net instance at status.davidhaberthuer.ch which I used Adium to connect to. Since several days I cannot seem to get any connection anymore. Adium just keeps "Connecting" forever. There's no hint in the logfile, as far as I understand. I disabled all other accounts and enabled-disabled the StatusNet-account for the logfile below.
Does anyone have any pointers how I could debug this problem a bit more?

StatusNet account keeps "Connecting" indefinitely
Re: StatusNet account keeps "Connecting" indefinitely
By the way: I'm using Adium 1.4.1 on OS X 10.6.7.
The account still keeps "connecting", the logfile is above. But today I see two of the last accounts I subscribed to in the Buddylist: http://www.cl.ly/7Wby But the timeline still does not load.

Re: StatusNet account keeps "Connecting" indefinitely
It seems that noone is able to help me, so I keep adding all the info I know to this thread to keep it alive.
I was able to connect nicely to my federated StatusNet instance with Adium (see "from Adium" in http://status.davidhaberthuer.ch/notice/1833 ) when suddenly Adium refused to work. I had this before and the problem cured itself after a fresh install of StatusNet on my server (for other reasons). Obviously, since I'll loose all notices I don't want to re-install just to cure my connection problem.
With other clients (http://status.net/desktop and TweetDeck) I can connect to my instance without problems, so I presume the problem lies with Adium. Since I really would like to keep everything in Adium I'd love to be able to debug this problem and find a solution.
I can provide all logfiles and debug messages, but am completely at loss where to start. I've removed Adium from my computer, cleared all preferences and caches, reinstalled it and this didn't help. Also deleting and re-adding this particular StatusNet account doesn't help. Adding an account on identi.ca (the flagship StatusNet installation) works just fine!

Re: StatusNet account keeps "Connecting" indefinitely
How many people do you follow on StatusNet? Try disabling the "show people I follow on the contact list" account option. It looks like it's stuck infinitely trying to pull a whole bunch of users, and I don't think you follow that many.
What version of StatusNet?
What version of StatusNet?
Re: StatusNet account keeps "Connecting" indefinitely
I follow 23 people on my Installation. Your trick cured everything, I'm back on track: http://status.davidhaberthuer.ch/notice/2984
