Invisible not working

I'm sure it's my error and not the program's, but when I go invisible people still see me and I come up as orange (in ichat I think).

Any ideas?

If this has been asked before I apologize, just didn't want to wade through a search.

Google Talk? Google uses a nonstandard status system which Adium/libpurple do not support for invisibility.
