Can the Adium client identifier be changed?

I'm using an Openfire based chat service, and they restrict clients to only Spark. I want to use Adium. Can whatever the server uses to identify the client be changed inside of Adium? If there's no "official" feature to do that, does anyone have any other ideas?

Probably with recompiling or maybe a libpurple plugin, but no, there's no way to do so via configuration.
