Seeking clarification on Facebook Applications T&Cs

Hi,

I just installed Adium 1.4.3b2 and noticed that the way adium connects to facebook has changed. While going through the sign up process I have noticed that the second point in T&Cs is "Adium may access my data when I'm not using the application"

I was wondering if one you could provide clarification as to what it exactly means. What does "not using the application" mean and what "data" will the application be accessing?

The credentials Adium requests are not stored anywhere outside your computer. They are not transmitted to anyone except Facebook. The message is a boilerplate because the credentials are stored elsewhere than the Facebook site.
