Local and remote ftp view
Local and remote ftp view
I'd like to see an option to split the folder view horizontally, so that you can view the remote folderlist and a local folderlist. This would be nice for comparing file dates/sizes etc.
If this were added, each ftp bookmark could have an option to automatically load a local path. Selecting upload should be able to then transfer the selected file/s to the remote view.

I would more than happy if this could be achieved just opening two windows, one local and one remote.
This feature should already be available however if I open two windows and try to drag and drop a file it just springs back to the starting window.
Some other times I get a ssh connection error.
Question: is this trick supposed to work and if yes, what am I doing wrong here?

I'd like to see this feature too, configure a local folder for each bookmark. Thanks!Black wrote:I'd like to see an option to split the folder view horizontally, so that you can view the remote folderlist and a local folderlist. This would be nice for comparing file dates/sizes etc.

It's what I do, I don't think it's so difficult....The_Tick wrote:Drag, cmd+tab, drop

I'm not sure where this is difficult
And, with the finder, you can open many windows at the same time. It goes much faster.

I hate not being able to see both local and remote files at once in one application.dkocher wrote:pbx wrote:Just to make it clear once again; there is no need for a local view and won't be added to any future version of Cyberduck.
Because, with 10+ windows open I hate trying to find two windows, the one with the file and the one with the ftp application. I know some people like expose or have other solutions, but personally don't see how anything is easier than having all my local files next to my remote files in one app.
I understand that the finder does file management better and all that jazz. I'm just putting in my opinion.

I second that. I also put CyberDuck and Finder windows side by side to drag drop files.biglittledragoon wrote:It's what I do, I don't think it's so difficult....The_Tick wrote:Drag, cmd+tab, drop
