Is there a way to hide the messages field?

Post by underscorex3 »

Greetings,

I would like to know if anyone already has succeeded in getting the following setup done.
I have Adium linked to Growl and Growl linked with Prowl. Like more people I let the responses show on my iPhone which sits on the site of my desk.
I love the ability to keep those messages of my main screen and lower the distraction. But to respond I am still stuck with the Adium interface. What I would like to have is just a single bar where I can type a response in without having to even see the previous responses. This way I could keep my work on my screen and have a discreet distraction free way to respond when I want to.

The workaround I have running now is a applescript with Launchbar. But the problem with this is that it has no connection to the contact list and I have to manually add the names and than the message. And as most know some users love to use symbols in there name and this makes is tedious to respond. Not to mention I use Launchbar for the tasks at hand also so I rather have a custom seperate chat bar.

If any has succeeded in any progress in the setup specified above I would love to hear about it.

Thank you for reading my question.
