Displaying full html is a major feature in Vienna for me. There should be a general option to chose this for all feeds, especially if it is disabled on [G]-feeds.

Are you completely sure the sync problem is from the Vienna side ? Always check through Google Reader web interface when you notice something strange.
I spent hours the other day believing I encountered the same bug, before discovering the problem was with the iPad RSS reader I use, not with Vienna.

Yes, the Get Info contextual menu is currently disabled with Google Reader feeds. There is place for improving here.
But you can use the "Folder->Use Web Page for Articles" menu item for what you intend to do.

I get this all the time, by which I mean, pretty much every time I put my computer to sleep and wake it up again.
I love the Google Reader feature, since I'm using Vienna(Beta now) on two computers and would very much prefer for the two to stay in sync. The staying in sync part works fine, but I have to quit and reopen Vienna almost every time I wake up one of the computers.

Another issue I'm having is that I can't subscribe to any new feeds using the beta.
I've tried both from inside Vienna and from the browser (Firefox) with Vienna selected as the app I want to send the feed to—which used to work in the non-beta version.
Is there anything in particular I have to keep in mind, or does subscribing to new (synced, in particular) feeds just not work right now? Am I supposed to subscribe to them using the Google Reader web interface? (I would prefer not to have to do that.)

And then, one last thing: The feed icons don't match the feeds for synced feeds.
The icons for wrong feeds will show up, and/or will get duplicated across several feeds, etc.
I had to turn off the feed icons altogether in the preferences because it got too confusing—even though I would've preferred to keep them. :???:

I'm on 10.8.2 on both machines, and using ViennaBeta 3.0b.2820.

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on my issues!

Jana

It seems you have to handle all subscription in Google reader, not just adding feeds but also unsubscribing and sorting feeds up in folders.
This is not a too good sollution but there are simple ways of adding feeds to Google reader through bookmarklets or the internal feed handling functions in browsers.

I also have the trouble with updating feeds. Vienna never updates automatically. Sometimes "Update Subscriptions from Google Reader" menu item works, sometimes "Force Refresh Selected Subscriptions from Google Reader" works but the only reliable action is to quit and restart Vienna...

Have you tried the "Force Refresh Selected Subscriptions From Google Reader" menu item ?

You probably have to delete the Preferences file : ~/Library/Preferences/uk.co.opencommunity.vienna2.plist
