You removed 2800.6 from github, now I can't go back to the working version!

... and I can't go back to the non-beta Vienna either because all the 'googlified' feeds have been turned into folders with no contents.

Anybody have 2800.6 still around?

2800.7.1 crashes also on startup. Crashlog attached.

Thanks for uploading 2800.6. It looks like that one still works.

@benst : Thanks again for your patience.

For the time being, I prefer working on my personal branch, to avoid excessive pollution on the main branch.
Can you test the version I just uploaded at https://github.com/downloads/barijaona/ ... 800.1+.zip ?

Have anyone made Vienna work with the webkit version shipped in the Safari 5.2 beta? (and ML I suppose)? I tried 2005 but that didn't work. The article pane came up empty. Thanks for the work put into this!

It is recognized as a Webkit bug in 5.2 beta. https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78280. Should be fixed in Moutain Lion final.

Thanks for the info on the webkit-bug! I'll try the next build and see if it's fixed in there.

Hi,

Finally got around testing the new beta (2800.9 in this case). It no longer crashes, so it looks like the problem I reported earlier has been fixed.

Some problems I see:
- I can't get it to load new feeds that I've added to Google Reader.
- Synced feeds that end in /feed/ still don't finish loading. (Spinning cursor at the end of the feed's name.) For example: http://www.loopinsight.com/feed/
I have reported that earlier in another thread about the beta.

Kind regards,
Ben

Hello Ben,

Have you tried this menu item: "Update Subscriptions From/To Google Reader" ? Vienna does not systematically refresh the subscription list while it is running... It updates the list only on startup, or through this command.

I could not reproduce such a bug with 2800.9...
I had also noticed this behavior before, but it is supposed to be fixed now... https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss ... 3253421e30
As a comparison, is it possible for you to restart from a fresh database ? (put aside the ~/Library/Application Support/Vienna folder).
The "Force Refresh Selected Subscriptions From Google Reader" menu item may also help to fix things...

Yes, I did that, and also restarted Vienna. No change.

I installed 2800.9 fresh on another machine. The problem with /feed/ is no longer present there, so it must be something in the other machine's database. No problem, I have all my feeds now up on Google reader, so I can delete and start over there.
The "Force Refresh Selected Subscriptions From Google Reader" menu item may also help to fix things...
No, that didn't help.

A problem new I've found on this fresh installation: I have a folder on Google Reader with two feeds in it, with currently in total 800+ articles. However, in Vienna I can only see an empty folder, and it has no feeds inside it. And also no articles obviously. The folder name is: Logic. And the two feeds inside it are:
http://www.gearslutz.com/board/external ... orumids=13
and
http://www.logic-users-group.com/forums ... ?type=RSS2

I hope you're able to reproduce this, otherwise let me know if I can help tracking this down.

Kind regards,
Ben

Strange... What I can notice is that the number of unread articles is reported inaccurately, but however the articles are downloaded...

I have uploaded a development build here https://github.com/barijaona/vienna-rss/downloads. Its console log is much more verbose, and it should enable you to see more clearly if your feeds are "seen" by Vienna. Feel free to send me the results (mail barijaona at gmail dot com) in case of doubt.

I've e-mailed the log to you.

Another thing I noticed, is that although the spinning cursor problems after /feed/ items has been solved, I still see the spinning progress cursor in my (modified) toolbar.
