Cannot see any tools in the header toolbar. Help!

All I see is
Contact
Username Status and avatar.

See attached screen shot.
Don't see the running man, lock, chain, chat bubble etc...

Your contact list isn't displaying any contacts.

1. Are you running Adium for the first time? If not, when did this start happening?
2. Are you sure contacts on your contact list are online? By default, Adium only displays contacts which are connected. Do contacts show up when you uncheck "Hide Certain Contacts" ("View" menu)?

I can see all my contacts, I do not have these tools in my header tool bar. See attached.

I have the latest Adium 1.5.1

Your first screenshot showed the contact list. Your second one shows a chat window's toolbar.

Got the same issue here :-(

No header visible, although it's switched on in the Preferences, but not highlighted. This is since v 1.5.1
