Completely empty / blank application windows!

OSX.6 / Vienna 3.0b.2819

Opened Vienna this morning: completely empty windows!
No feeds, no message, no application folders, no trash, simply nothing!

Had no crash yesterday when I closed the application (but of course have often crashes because of this unsolved heavy memory usage problem of Vienna)

Tried the following
- Vienna 2.6 - same result (all empty)
- deleted cache - same result (all empty)
- deleted prefs - same result (all empty)
- entered a new feed - getting messages but everything else is still gone - after the re-start the feed just entered before is gone, too
- when quitting I am getting asked if I want to empty trash
- finally moved "messages.db" out of Vienna Application Support folder - the application is getting back to it's first start status with standard Vienna feeds etc. Looks this db is corrupt?

I am using Vienna for years and have often crashes because of the well known memory problem of the application (it is getting a bit boring), but never data losses...
Now I am mssing circa 120 feeds. I have a weekly backup, but I added about 30 feeds after the last back up... any Idea how to fix it?

Never encountered that, but I suspect a corrupted index in the database...

Grab a copy of Sqlite Database browser, and inspect a copy of ~/Library/Application Support/Vienna/messages.db

It should display a structure similar to the one attached.

If not, give a try deleting the index and recreating it.

Also my folders are empty. I tried to re-index them, but without success.

Same issue of blank left side - OS X 10.8.2 on Early 2011 MacBook Pro 15, 8Gb / 750Gb Momentum XT Hybrid; all Apple patches up-to-date

Parallels 8 (latest), not active
Chrome 21 release

If reindexing does not work, I am afraid the only reliable solution is to remove the messages.db file and restart Vienna.

You can attempt to export your subscriptions before, in order to reimporting them after the fresh restart.

I managed to retrieve my RSS feeds by using Time Machine.

I just swapped the messages db, and sources folder with the older ones from before the crash
