How can i see notification on the right corner of my iMac?

I installed vienna, and selected preference to the "show the unread count on the application icon."
Before I used this, I could see the notification on the right corner whenever new rss item is achieved.
But now I can see only unread count on the icon, and cannot see notification.
Any ideas?

EDIT: I've known Growl from here. I guess the problem is in other place.

I believe you are referring to Growl, which is an application that creates small informative windows in the top right corner of the screen by default. Do you have Growl installed? You can see this in System Preferences, it should be located at the bottom.
