No Java in Vienna

Post by jochen.fuchs »

Hi,

I´m using OS X Mountain Lion, and since I do there is no Java in Vienna, which results in blocked plug-ins etc.
Can someone tell me what to do?

Thanks, Jochen

I have no problem with Java here (apart Oracle's test page advising me to switch to Java 7).

I suspect you have a plug-in configured to block Java, like ClickToFlash.
Have a look in ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins and /Library/Internet Plus-Ins.
Either remove ClickToFlash, or change its preferences (right-click on a content it handles).

I also suggest you use Vienna 3.0 Beta, as 2.6 might be unable to display some of the alert boxes related to activation/deactivation of Java.

I don´t have any Plugins installed like ClickToFlash, but Vienna 3.0 Beta works great.
Thank you
