Just downloaded. Holy crap guys, this is amazing. Incredible work. The included themes are also great and I think it will go a long way towards bringing in new users.
I do just have one question. Is there any way to disable the little bar at the top of the contacts window with the status menu? I'd prefer not to have it but I can't find the preference for it.
Thanks.

'fraid not. Other window styles (prefs > Appearance) don't have it, but they also don't have the status selector. It's the price you paywaffffffle wrote:I do just have one question. I also thought that was pretty funny. I got worried that I forgot to update a long time ago.Rita wrote:And I was higly amused when I got the pop-up that said the new version was released today and my program is 73 days old.
Also, is there any way to bring back the standard tool tip icon size? Some of my address book icons are huge and they're looking very strange when I mouseover my buddy list due to all the different icon sizes.

That's funny, cause I got a pop-up this morning saying my copy of Adium was something like 8 hours old - and it linked me to to the Adium homepage showing the 0.80 version I had already downloaded from the beta page.Rita wrote:This freakin' rocks!!

Non-grouped messages?
I am perhaps missing something, but I used to have my message style not group the messages together. How do I turn that off? I like each message to have the sender next to it. (Maybe I'm old fashioned..
)
Like this:
Bob said: Hi there!
Bob said: Sup?
I said: not much..
etc.. (note the lack of grouping all of Bob's messages under one "Bob" header)
I seem to remember it being something in the advanced settings but unless I've just lost my mind, I can't seem to find it. :-)

the message styles were designed like that... you have to ask the author to change it or edit the message style file yourself

Hmm. Ok. I have no idea what style I used to use. All I know is that I replaced my Adium app with the new one and suddenly it seemed to forget a lot of my old preferences including my message style. In the past when I've upgraded I've never had that happen and I can't find a style in the drop down that looks anything like the old one I had.. Too bad my memory sucks for these sorts of things. I guess I'm just going to have to spend some serious time playing with those styles until I figure out something close to what I used to have.Wengero wrote:the message styles were designed like that... you have to ask the author to change it or edit the message style file yourself
I just got a popup that says my copy of Adium is 3 hours old. I clicked OK and got directed to the main page too...even though I downloaded 0.80 last night and had it running all day.MacMom wrote:That's funny, cause I got a pop-up this morning saying my copy of Adium was something like 8 hours old - and it linked me to to the Adium homepage showing the 0.80 version I had already downloaded from the beta page.

most of the adium preference panels have been redone so most of your old settings wont carry over(in the .7* series there wasnt much change in the setting areas so you didnt lose them, and you wont lose any settings for the rest of the .8* series)

did you download off the beta page or the main page? the beta page ones make you redownload off the main page

Actually, I'm pretty sure that there was a 'combine consecutive messages' checkbox you could uncheck, somewhere, before. If you fiddle with Content.html and NextContent.html (make the latter like the former, maybe move <div id="insert"></div> around), though, that should do the trick.BigZaphod wrote:I guess I'm just going to have to spend some serious time playing with those styles until I figure out something close to what I used to have.Wengero wrote:the message styles were designed like that... you have to ask the author to change it or edit the message style file yourself
Edit: Take a look at this thread.
