Contact list shadow bug - .8 final and betas

Post by Union »

I've had this bug ever since I installed Tiger. Not sure if it's a Tiger related or what, but it hasn't changed since before RC1, IIRC.

When I use the borderless window contact list style, the shadow is pretty much non-existant. It's just a single pixel-side border that appears around the list. It used to be an actual shadow, like the one that appears on the other styles.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, i definitely did, and i was about to punch the screen until after some fiddleing around it fixed itself...i have no idea how. Try just playing around in preferences followed by several restarts, at least that's what i did. But rest assured, it CAN be fixed...Somehow :)

I've tried everything I could--changing the contact list style, restarting--nothing works for me.

That doesn't do it, dbomb. This is a problem with the shadow, not the shadow being turned off. I saw it earlier, but it seems to be working now for me.

i installed Adium on a friend's computer today, and got the shadow bug again. Here's how i fixed it:

Preferences/Advanced
click the already checked "show window shadow" box so that it is unchecked.
click it again.

that got it to work for me. Hope this helps!

I've been having issues with disappearing shadows since installing Tiger, not only with Adium but other apps as well. It's not very frequent, but it happens.

i'm on 10.3.9, so it looks to be a problem with the app itself.
