How do I stop Vienna from constantly downloading the same app everytime I launch Vienna?
I downloaded Plain Cloud, apparently via Vienna. Fine. I wanted to try it. However, once each day I launch Vienna, and once a day a new download of Plain Cloud comes with the opening of Vienna. Plain Cloud has now been downloaded at least 10 times. This is getting old. I find no option in Vienna preferences to turn it off, but something in launching Vienna triggers a new download.

May be you have an open tab which automatically launches this download ?
When you relaunch Vienna, this tab gets reloaded, and the download is triggered.
In case of doubt, close all tabs, except the main Articles tab.

I had a zillion tabs open, the first 10-15 were "new tab". I have no idea how any of them got there as I have never tried to deliberately create a tab, new or old/existing. I don't know how to do that deliberately, nor do I ever select them when they do show up. I found no setting for tabs in the preferences, and there is only one function available for tabs. That is under the File drop-down menu. I don't know how or why all those tabs appeared. It seems they were there when I opened Vienna the very first time, and I've ignored them since.
Today I just started trying to close them as I would in Safari. After about 30 clicks on the "X", I started to see that closing them was working. All tabs are now gone. I will now try to figure out what creates them. Too bad there is nothing in Vienna Help menu to help me understand how Vienna works and to help me figure out this stuff on my own. How was I to figure out that a recurring download problem was due to an open/recurring tab?
