Unread message count is wrong

Post by arudolph »

I have been a Vienna user for 6 days now and am loving it! How did I live without it? I should say up front that I am using an Apple Macbook Pro.

I usually start with the Unread Articles folder and the messages are marked as read as I am going through them. However afterwards, when I view the individual RSS streams listed, they still have an unread count. When I highlight the feed and then move to the next, the unread count sets to zero. But it does come back with some unread messages soon after. Also the Why is that? The Vienna icon on the bottom of the screen also shows an unread count that doesn't seem to match up to anything.

I should say that I am using Feed HQ in order to sync to Feedler RSS for iPad. However most of my viewing is done through Vienna.

Thanks in advance for any advise you might have.

Vienna limits the number of unread items per feed it retrieves from FeedHQ. This might cause problem when you have a big stock unread idems.

Try the « Force Refresh Selected Subscriptions From Open Reader » and see if there is change.
I contribute to Vienna RSS as a developer.
