away messages and custom idle
away messages and custom idle
so in adium 0.77 when i wanted to use one of my away messages that i already saved and set a custom idle, i could. and now with adium 0.80 it seems that i can't do this anymore. either i am missing it or it's not there anymore. can somone help me because i am losing it over here.

i did that but the only messages i can choose from are the new built in ones and i would like to use one that i previously savedTipo 61 wrote:In .8 you can select a "Custom..." status in the Status menu. THere is a checkbox in the menu when seting a custom status called "Appear Idle Immediately" and you can set a custom Idle time.

But, that means you'd have to create a specific saved status thing for every possible Status Message / Idle Time combination!? That's a little ridiculous.
Also, if you already have an away message up, and you want to go idle without changing your status, that's not possible. You can get close, by setting a new status with the same text and a different idle time, but that's not the same thing. And then when you want to remove the idle, you'd again have to change your status.
There should be a way to change your idle time without affecting your away status. They're separate things.

So pick your away message, then press custom and choose an idle time.heewa wrote:But, that means you'd have to create a specific saved status thing for every possible Status Message / Idle Time combination!? That's a little ridiculous.
