syncing with inoreader

I'm new to Vienna and syncing. I chose inoreader. What in the blue blazes am I doing wrong?

I believe I have everything set correctly: syncing on in Vienna and inoreader account info correctly entered. Likewise my iOS app of choice, Feeddler is set accordingly.

But in Vienna with everything marked as 'read' the change is not noted in Feeddler. I have waited over an hour (more than one trial). I have quit Vienna and then waited. I have selected all subscriptions and 'Force refreshed' in Vienna.

Any help? I'm old enough to not care if I'm doing, or failing to do, something stupid/simple. I just want it to work.

It seems that your Vienna feeds are local only, and not set to sync with InoReader.

First, make sure that in "Vienna->Preferences… ", tab « Syncing », the « Sync with an Open Reader server » checkbox is ticked, and credentials are set.

Then, check if a small cloud picture appears in front of the name of your feeds.
Feeds hosted on InoReader should have the « cloud » mark.
Feeds that you access directly from the original source do not have the « cloud » mark. I call them "local feeds".

If you already have a local feed, it might « hide » the Inoreader version of it. Just delete it from Vienna, then use the menu item « File-> Update Subscriptions From Open Reader »

When you subscribe to a new feed, be careful to verify if the « Subscribe in Open Reader » checkbox is ticked.
