How to install - rookie question?

Hi,

Can anyone help me how to install vienna rss reader, I downloaded tar file, and when extract it, I have one folder with two subfolder, there's no app on any installation file.

Hi,

I just rechecked the download now to confirm working okay. From the Vienna homepage (http://www.vienna-rss.org/), I clicked on the 'Download Vienna 3 Beta' button.

It will download a file called Vienna3.0.0_rc1.tgz at present from hosting at Sourceforge, which when uncompressed will contain the Mac application bundle.

Well, when I unpacked the file Vienna3.0.0_rc1.6ccabc5-dSYM.tgz I get the following folder structure :
Vienna3.0.0_rc1.6ccabc5-dSYM
------->DisclosableView.framework.dSYM
------->Vienna.app.dSYM

There's no dmg or app file, so I really don't know what to do with those folders.

Where are you downloading from? The dSYM packages is additional debug information, not the actual application.

Progressing from the main page and clicking the download button should take you to the file I mentioned above.

Thank you, for your effort, finally I downloaded the right file, every time I downloaded from the main page, but today I tried from Google Chrome, before that i tried with Safari, and now I succeeded.
