Dodgy playback from embedded Quicktime video

Post by jbirkenmaier »

Hi. I wanted to play a video that I had attached to one of my tickets but the playback is corrupted. When I do the same steps in Firefox, everything is fine. Here are the steps to reproduce:

1. Open a new tab in Vienna
2. Go to the following URL: http://forums.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=26591
3. Watch the Quicktime Attachments window. It will change from a large "Q" to corrupted text.
4. Click on the "[ Play Quicktime File ]" link.

I wanted to attach a MOV file which demonstrated this but it was 24.2MB which, apparently, is too large to upload as an attachment to this site.

This is related to Apple's Webkit, not to Vienna itself.

You should probably empty your caches.
I contribute to Vienna RSS as a developer.
