Fine grained control for auto moving articles to the trash

Postby Tyrone Bronne » Mon Sep 11, 2017 10:18 am

Looking through the preferences I only find a global option to automatically move articles to the trash.
Usually that it is not what I want.
However, from all my subscriptions there are maybe two dozens creating such a high volume with their feeds that keeping them all around forever is wearing Vienna down and wasting space.

– Is there a trick to instruct Vienna to delete articles automatically after three weeks for individual feeds while the global option stays at "never"?
– Is there a trick to instruct Vienna to delete articles manually from individual feeds with an option like "all older than three weeks"?

If not, these would be my feature request.

I got the exact same problem than @Tyronne Bronne and I would like to know whether you have implemented a solution to this issue and what it is.
Please, I'm almost out of HD memory.
I have a cloud subscription through Inoreader but Vienna stores the feeds anyway, so the question remains and we need to be able to delete old articles.
Thanks for your help.

I'm begging for an answer, I am really in a hard situation and I would soon be forced to stop my feed subscription if there is no alternative to store articles indefinitely.
Thanks guys !
