Making a plugin, icon issue

Postby jbpjackson » Sun Apr 01, 2018 4:56 pm

This is my first time doing this, so I apologize if this is a dumb question.

I followed the instructions to create a plugin for Pinboard sharing. It seems to mostly work fine, but my tiff icon isn't displaying in the Vienna GUI (it just shows a blank button). I'm stumped as to why. The icon file is a 16x16 tiff with an alpha channel. Is there something I'm missing?

Plugin file is attached:

I changed the resolution to 72 pixels per inch (instead of 600) and it seems to be OK now.
See attached. You’ll probably need to remove current one from ~/Libary/Application Support/Vienna/Plugins

I contribute to Vienna RSS as a developer.
Please, don't forget those tips for writing a good bug report

Thanks for your contribution. I will submit the modified version to become a standard Vienna plugin.

I modified the documentation. By the way, I rediscovered that it is possible to make a search engine plugin.

Thank you for the help! I don't know why it was set to 600 DPI (I don't normally do graphics stuff). I'm glad you found it useful enough to add as a standard!
