tiger breaks sametime support

Post by jlemon »

I was happily using Adium 0.80, until I upgraded to Tiger.

Now I can't connect to my Sametime server. Clicking on the connect button just gives me "(Sametime) Gaim error: Unable to connect to host".

I can ping the host just fine. However, tcpdump tells me that no packets are hitting the network at all.

Check your account settings... there have been reports in various places of the server and port setting suddenly disappearing, we're not sure why yet. Is your account still configured properly?
The duck still burns.

Yes, the server and port disappeared from the preferences.

However, re-entering them did not resolve the problem.

The good news is that 0.81 works without a problem.

I am experiencing the same issue...only nothing seems to be working for me.

Did you enter your full hierarchical name (CN=John Doe/OU=ABC/O=XYZ)?
Did you use the default port (1533)?
