I don't know wether this is a bug or not a feature, but when i try and send one of the Tribal War emotes, my contact cant see them, i was under the impression that emotes that a contact doesn't have came across as custom emotes?
I think this would be a cool feature, and would allow all the really cool emote packages to be used properly.

the current situation seems to be that libgaim does not support it, so until that changes adium cannot, and custom emoticons will only be displayed locally. i think i remember hearing that support for receiving them will be in the not too extremely distant future... so it's being worked on at least :-)
