Get Info window missing scrollbar?

I seem to be the only person on my contact list putting up lengthy away messages, so this only happens when I get info on myself, but it is kind of weird. Text gets cut off at the top and the side, but there is no scrollbar, like there should be. However, when I go to highlight the text, I can scroll up in the window and the scrollbar will appear for a second or so and disappear again. I don't get it. using .81, btw.
