Simplicity Message Style

Post by Lyg »

Hey all, I was just curious if the Simplicity (with multiple lines for when the same user IMs more than once in a row) would be updated so that selecting text (specifically when the cursor nears the (Time) Alias area) is not so clunky. Thanks!

I know Andy (bob_the_gorilla / Son of a Preacher Man) checks these forums, but it's probably better to leave a comment on the Xtras Page for Simplicity. It's much more likely to be noticed there.

...especially since there's now über-handy e-mail notification for comments on your X(tras).

I can only assume that you're referring to the other version of Simple that got released, with consecutive messages uncombined (ugh)... Because the version I released has a specific fix for what you describe :P Unless you don't mean what I think you mean...

Correct. Would you be able/willing to release an uncombined version update that fixed my highlight problem? Thanks so much!

Sure, it won't take many seconds! I'll post a link here when I've uploaded it - check back in a couple of hours.

Bum, I forgot :oops:

I'm away at the mo... in the mean time, you can do it yourself if you're confident. Do a "show package contents" on the style, find "Info.plist", and open it in a text editor. Amongst the other keys, add:

Code: Select all

<key>DisableCombineConsecutive</key>
	<true/>
Then save it and close. It should change its behaviour after you restart Adium.
