AdiumX 0.81 changed my AddressBook template (Tiger 10.4)

Post by Claude »

Dears,

I am a newbie on this forum, so first : hello to everyone, and my apologies if I say stupid things in the beginnning ! I'll try and not p**ss off too much, I promise ! ;-)

To the point :

I did a clean install of MacOS 10.4, and found out that my previous chat software wasn't working very nicely with it. So I made the change to AdiumX.

Very happy with it, but for one point : after installing AdiumX 0.81, I discovered that my AddressBook template had been modified : no more "prefix", Nickname, URL fields visible.

I had to reinstate them thourgh the Preferences. Since then , it's ok.

What has happened ?

Are you sure 10.4 didn't do this?

I do not know what happened, but for sure I know Adium X was not the one to blame here, as we go nowehere remotely close to Address Book preferences.

yes, pretty sure, I had Tiger up and running for more than a week, before switching to AdiumX

Well Adium, quite literally, could not have done this. So, I would look elsewhere to the culprit.
