see send picture in message box?

Post by kein Name »

When I drag a picture in the box where I write it apears here.
After I pushed enter, the picture will send to my partner.
Now I see the Picture between my messages like the photo I took.

Is it possible that my friend see this in his message, too?

this depends of your friends messaging client...
I don't know about any messaging client that can do this, but it shouldn't have to be THAT difficult...

so at first, I guess it's not possible

It is posible if your friend uses Adium X too or another client capable of drawing images in the message window. iChat can do that, not sure about other clients.

eevyl, I also never heard about it.
If it existed there would be prefs to change it, no?

I find it quite weird behaviour of Adium to show the image (in the message window or in the text input field) But I guess that's opinion.

Though I've never seen images in my window from other Adium users...

iChat shows the picture right? I thought it was a feature of AIM's Direct Connect, from what I've picked up here; but then I rarely use AIM so I'm not entirely sure. So my guess is it would depend what service you're both using..
