Before Adium 0.8x, there were built-in notifications similar to Growl. However, with the release of 0.8x, it appears they have been replaced with built-in Growl functionality. Will these built-in notifications ever be re-implemented? Thanks!
Nope. Notifications such as the bezel have been replaced with Growl (which has a bezel notification, by the way). There is no longer any need to have it in-application when Growl handles it better, and in a more specialized manner, than Adium ever could.
You can also get the identical functionality in Growl, and with the latest release of Growl, it just keeps getting better. The display options for the Bezel are very cool, highly customizable.
