Pressing Return Quickly Doesn't Send IM

I upgraded from a .7x version of Adium to the latest version yesterday. I have the option set for the Return key to send, but I type really fast and when I type a line of text real quick, then quickly hit the Return button, it does a carriage return instead of sending the IM. If I press it again though, and [maybe] slower, it sends the IM. This never happened for me in the older version. Anybody else notice this? Thanks!

Could your little finger possibly be holding shift still when you press enter, like when you type a ? for example?

Maybe, but I just tested it and even holding down Shift and pressing Return slowly works. So I don't believe this is it, since it doesn't seem to prevent Return from sending.

What is set in the General pane?

Checked:

Log messages
Create new messages in tabs
Send on Enter
Send on Return
Switch tabs with: Arrows
Show Adium status in menu bar

Well it should work… maybe your key is a little stuck?

Try again. Holding shift while hitting return does result in a carriage return.

Nah, it doesn't. I tried it again. Maybe it has to do with me pulling over a couple of the Resource files from the old version of Adium cause I have this pet peeve with how the un-altered version of Adium uses different colors of "black" for the IM text. To see what I'm talking about, check out these screen shots:

So maybe that's causing it, but...I don't know. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this failure for Return to send when you're typing fast.

On the black thing, I've never seen that before (my incoming and outgoing messages look fine).
