Adium X and true Transparent

Post by viruscool »

This will probably have been raised and answered, but searching didn't bring any immediated matches up.
Sooo is there any way to get the Contacts window to be totaly transparent, at the moment there is an aweful faded whiteness around my words, see pic:

Image

Basically can I be rid of this aweful whiteness?

Thanks in advance

In OS X, if the opacity of something drops below 5% (or is it 15%?), that item becomes unclickable. You can edit one of the plists to have yours at a very low number if you want, but then you won't be able to click on your contact list.

That area of your desktop looks to be one shade of blue. Might it be easier to just make the contact list background the same color as your desktop?
I know that isn't what you're asking, but you should get the same result, unless for some reason (like TheSilverFox said) you don't want to click on your contact list.

OK guys, thanks for the quick response. In the end I decided to use contact bubbles (to fit), you can barely see the window now, but I will try and make the background the same colour and see how that goes.

Cheers

If you set the background to roughly the same color, and put opacity to 5%, you won't see it at all.
