My Sonic The Hedgehog Soundset (I couldn't wait!)

Post by IUG »

I've been sitting on this for a while now. I made this about a week before the xtras site went down, and made an account a day before the xtras site went down to post this. But I wanted to wait to make sure everything was right in this. Look what it's cost me...

So now, instead, here is my soundset. It's better than that plumber:
Image
Download the Soundset

Message Sent - Spindash Release
Message Received - Sonic Spin
New Message - Special Stage Warp
File Transfer Complete - Passing the end level sign
File Transfer Start - Ring Collect
File Transfer Error - Death on a spike
Error - Sonic's Death
Disconnected - Sonic Drowning
Connected - Jumping through the big ring
Buddy On - Spring
Buddy Off - Fireball

Just, if you download it, give me a little feedback. If you like it, then whenever the xtras site comes back up, vote for it when I put it on. ;)

I don't know what you meant by "Clean them up". However, just go into the events folder, and pick the receive sound from in there. I must have edited the text file incorrectly. I'll see if I can fix it before I put it on the site.

I also forgot to mention, I jammed it full of other sounds as well, so if you don't like one particular sound, you could replace it without having to edit the file.

clean them up as.. the sounds are full static, theres of 'recorder noise'
if anyone knows the the technical names for what im trying to say.. please fill me in. also on my computer it seems like the sounds arent nearly recorded loud enough.. i have the Supermariobros sound set running, when i switched from the sonic sound set back to the supermariobros sound-set the supermariobros set was noticeably louder

K, I'll think about re-recording them. Got to open up Genesis Plus again. Thank god the games have a sound test...

EDIT: If I raise the volume, it sounds worse. If I re-record it from an emulator, it comes out glitchy, and with the static noises when I raise the volume. If I record it from my Genesis plugged into my Mac, then the same thing happens, and it sounds worse. No win situation here. :-\
