How to View Cached Images

Post by MBHockey »

My girlfriend lost her buddy icon, and the only way we have a copy of it is it's in my cache folder for Adium, in the file, AIM.herscreename.

I used to be able to just double click these files and they would open...but no longer. When i double click these files, i get an error from ColorSync utility:

"The document could not be opened. ColorSync Utility cannot open files in the "Document" format."

Any ideas?

Nevermind. I just appended 'jpg' and it opened fine with preview, but it won't unless i append an extension.

I was going to tell you about FileJuicer, which AdamIser used to get the .css for trac back when it died.

Command-option drag them onto the Preview icon; they'll open just fine that way. (Side note: command-option dragging to an application's icon will force that application to attempt to open the dragged items)
