Not sure if this is a known issue, but a search turned up nothing.
When resizing the contact list there are two minor issues. When you have the contact list set to auto-resize horizontally, it only works (by works i mean, fits all the text in without the "...") when there are no "extras" in the contact list (idle time, status icons, buddy icons, service icons, etc..).
Actually, now that i'm thinking about it this is probably intended for the instance where the user chooses to display the contact status in their contact list, however, in my case i always only choose to put the idle time, and it gets cut off, which is why i thought the auto resize was broken. Is there a way to have it auto-resize to fit the idle time without the ellipsis?
The other minor thing is that the slider for the width of the contact list is not disabled when auto-resize horizontally is checked.
Bug - Auto-Horizontal Resizing
Re: Bug - Auto-Horizontal Resizing
Actually, what breaks the auto-resize is that it doesn't respect your spacing settings (i have my left margin set to 6 px, if i put it to zero it's fine)
Could this be verified? Running 0.73.

In a similar vein, I'd like to see a slider for minimum as well as maximum width when auto-resizing is turned on.
The main reason for this is that when status or service icons are on the right side of the list, it looks sort of crappy to have the status/service icons scrunched right up against the name.
I haven't noticed Mike's bug, though I'll try to verify it once I'm home tonight.

Re: Bug - Auto-Horizontal Resizing
I'm seeing the bug as well and it's actually cutting off for me even with both left and right margin at zero. This is on current SVN.MBHockey wrote:Actually, what breaks the auto-resize is that it doesn't respect your spacing settings (i have my left margin set to 6 px, if i put it to zero it's fine)

Here are the images... they're probably going to go down sometime tomorrow because I'm switching hosts, but I'll get them back up later in the day.
